We welcome adults of all ages and teens. Services are offered at our clinic located in Pleasanton and for qualifying clients through the option of our state of the art, HIPAA-compliant, tele-platform. Some circumstances may require an in person visit. It’s a privilege to serve the community that we work and live in by providing comprehensive quality mental health care.

Meet Joan Fraino
Joan Fraino, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, CNL, received her doctorate at the University of San Francisco and is a dually board certified, Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco for over ten years preparing doctoral students for practice. She is currently an Associate Professor and Chair of the PMHNP program at Touro University and a preceptor for upcoming practitioners. She is committed in mentoring the next generation of health professionals and employs evidence-based teaching that supports innovative healthcare delivery systems. Her doctoral work is published in the Journal of Psychosocial Nursing and Mental Health Services and also has published work in The Journal for Nurse Practitioners. Additionally, she has authored textbook chapters in Comprehensive Healthcare Simulation: Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Clinical Education and continues working with fellow faculty on future publications.

Joan​ Fraino has over 33 years of experience in the field of psychiatry and is an advocate for providing quality mental health services. She has extensive experience working with clients suffering from mild to severe mental health disorders including: depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, insomnia, alcohol dependency, psychotic and other mood disorders. She integrates medication management along with brief psychotherapy. She is compassionate, caring, and utilizes a strength-based approach that fosters a strong bond and partnership with her clients. She is versed in treating all age groups.

Meet Alyssa Gonzalez

Alyssa Gonzalez, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, initially earned her BSN in nursing with honors from Samuel Merritt University. She initially worked in the telemetry/medical surgical unit at Stanford ValleyCare Hospital before transferring to the emergency room. Her focus as a registered nurse has continued in the emergency room triaging and caring for patients that enter the hospital. While working in the hospital setting, she found her passion in psychiatric nursing and went back to school to obtain her doctoral degree. She graduated from the University of San Francisco with her doctorate in nursing and specialty as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
Alyssa Gonzalez is dedicated to treating her patients with compassionate care. She works with her patients collaboratively and practices evidence-based approaches to optimize the individual’s mental health. She integrates medication management along with brief psychotherapy and works closely with her patients while being a strong mental health advocate and ally.
Alyssa Gonzalez has experience working with mild, moderate, and severe mental health disorders in the outpatient setting. She is skilled in working with patients of all age groups.
